I just bought NEXUS magazine and they had an article about Operation Highjump, the Admiral Byrd Antarctica expedition. It tells the story of Lt. Commander Bunger, who was 1of 12 pilots selected for the mission. He wrote a book about his experiences following the death years later of Admiral Byrd. A small number of copies of his book were published but all confiscated. One was found years later inside a Bible bought at an estate sale. He tells of a structure of unknown material which they entered and was much warmer than outside. Encounters with tall thin beings who captured 6 Marines never to be heard of again. lol locked out of everything, now all of a sudden I’m not locked out of here. Anyway, it’s a special “fire retardant” designed specifically to burn iron and aluminum in thermite reactions while protecting organic material. The red stuff that they spray ahead of the fires they said they tinted it red for visibility, but they used iron oxide (rust) and beforehand sprayed aluminum nanoparticles. Aluminum and iron oxide creates thermite and matastizes at the site of aluminum and iron, hence the melted rims. It’s got ammonium phosphate and phosphoric acid with cellulose do that it bonds with organic material and is flame retardant on plants and trees, but the iron oxide acts as thermite on other things, and the way they spray it contains fires in structures protected by wind and makes them burn longer while burning over organic material and not staying.
